Robot Unicor Attack

What can be cuter than an unicorn? I know the answer - a robot unicorn! This game has a simple concept: the unicorn runs and you can either make it jump or dash into big stars. It kind of resembles Canabalt, but it is way better, because in this one you can double jump and dash into stars. The background song goes very well with the overall pink magical atmosphere... Go, robot unicorn, chase your dreams!

+ rainbow robot unicorn, what's more to say?!
+ perfect music

One Button Bob

There is an entire adventure going on in this game and all you need to do is press the left mouse button. You help Bob, a classic adventurer, get safely out of trouble. There are a couple of level types which are repeated throughout the game, but each time the challenge is bigger. The game is very fun and intuitive, as the only instructions are "click the left mouse button". The whole experience lasts for a short time, but it will put a smile on your face.

+ pixelated graphics
+ nice music
+ very good use of a single button

- could have had more diverse levels

Record Tripping

Record Tripping is a wonderful and original game which begins with scratching a record. The first thing you'll do is listen to an "Alice in Wonderland" record and realise that you can make it go forward or backward simply by scrolling up or down. You can also slow it down by holding the left click. Soon, you can see that you actually have the ability to alter time itself and you use this power to play through 5 beautiful stages. The gameplay is innovative and perhaps the nicest thing about this game is the great artwork. Every little detail is photoshopped  carefully, making the game a pleasure to look at. The music is great too, considering the soundtrack comes from Gorrilaz, Spoon, Beck and Death Cab for Cutie. Overall, this game is strange, friendly and unexpectedly fresh and the world of Alice is the perfect setting for it.

+ new and very good concept
+ great graphics
+ weird and friendly atmosphere

Rubble Trouble

This is a game about demolishing. You work for a demolition firm and every day you have to take down weird looking buildings. There are bombs, cannons, helicopters and many other thing at your disposal. Every level is a different challenge: sometimes you have limited bombs, other times you have to get some stranded guys off the building without hurting them. There are some levels which require perfect aiming, but most of them are simply fun. The game looks good, plays well and has a positive atmosphere.

GNILLEY

If you thought that the world of gaming is full of crazy things, it's just about to get crazier. GNILLEY is a game which won the prize for the most original game in the Global Game Jam 2010 competition. What it is all about, you might be wondering. Well, not much: you are a small human running around some place... YELLING at enemies, walls and who knows what else in order to advance in the game. Yes, you actually have to yell into the mic, as hard as you can and everyone will just freak out and die.

Gluey

Gluey is a cute little Bejeweled-like game. The blobs are trapped and you must free them by removing groups of three or more. The special thing about Gluey is the fact that it has physics. The blobs really act like gooey little things and they're very cute while doing so. There are a few special "items", but the game isn't hard. It could have had more levels, but we'll just have to hope for a sequel.

+ nice concept
+ cute blobs

The Apple iPad

There have been rummors about an Apple Tablet for quite a while and now it's true. It is called iPad and it's preety impressive for a tablet. It has a 9.7 inch touchscreen, weighs 1.5 pounds and runs a 1GHz  Apple "A4" chip. The iPad can run all iPhone apps and it can also be used as a pretty fancy e-book reader. For the moment there is no Flash player, but surely it will be present in the next version.
