Rubble Trouble

This is a game about demolishing. You work for a demolition firm and every day you have to take down weird looking buildings. There are bombs, cannons, helicopters and many other thing at your disposal. Every level is a different challenge: sometimes you have limited bombs, other times you have to get some stranded guys off the building without hurting them. There are some levels which require perfect aiming, but most of them are simply fun. The game looks good, plays well and has a positive atmosphere.

Cold Storage

Cold Storage is a game with an old concept, but with very nice graphics. You are a Yeti who was accidentally dropped in a freezer. This place is filled with frozen creatures, ice blocks and poles. You travel by jumping from pole to pole, while rescuing the frozen creatures. As you advance through levels more dangers appear. Bad creatures have to be avoided or killed with inertia and unstable poles last only for a short period. The game has a nice winter atmosphere, perfect for this time of the year.

B.C. Bow Contest

In the prehistoric era a bunch of cavemen start a bow competition. You have to beat everyone to win the cup. The game is colorful and relaxing. Every level has one or more targets (or balloons) you have to hit. The annoying part of the game is the fact that it is turn based. After firing 3 arrows you have to wait for your opponent and that's a big waste of time. There are several types of arrows and different characters you can unlock.

Graveyard shift

With Halloween drawing near Nitrome has launched a new game. It's a rail-shooter with zombies, angry plants and other weird monsters. You have a gun to kill them all, and sometimes you have to grand safe passage to lost maidens. There are a few other weapons you can use, but they have limited ammo (yes, the sword has limited ammo, the gun doesn't). The graphics are very good, as usually, but the game might feel repetitive and the levels are a little too long for my taste.

Cave Chaos

In almost all platformers there comes a situation when the ground starts to crumble behind you. Cave Chaos has turned this gameplay element into a full game. You play as a mole(rat) and you have to reach the exit before you fall into the abyss. Bats form your path gradually, so there is no way telling what comes next. You must think fast because there are many paths to choose from, some harder and lengthier than others. Big and small boulders will get in your way, mushrooms and powerups help you jump higher and a weird drooling face will pour sticky honey on the floor. There are many other elements, but you'd better find them yourself.

Nebula

A cute Nitrome game where you help a young star become a red giant. The purpose is to reach all the keys in the level, while collecting stars. There are enemies, destroyable bombs and other goodies and the graphics are simply adorable. The only drawback is the hard to learn control scheme.
