Gluey

Gluey is a cute little Bejeweled-like game. The blobs are trapped and you must free them by removing groups of three or more. The special thing about Gluey is the fact that it has physics. The blobs really act like gooey little things and they're very cute while doing so. There are a few special "items", but the game isn't hard. It could have had more levels, but we'll just have to hope for a sequel.

Paradox Embrace

Puzzle platformers combine mindless jumping with careful thinking. Paradox Embrace does exactly that, in a nice and refreshing way. You play as a guy who has the ability to change himself when near a special pole. This change will take him in one of three worlds: the Nature, Technology or Supernatural one. The worlds look almost alike, except some minor details that really make the difference. In some worlds there are flames, in others there are no bridges, and sometimes a statue can turn to life in another world. Your goal is to reach the prize in each level. To get to it you'll have to open many doors with special keys or dissolve walls with potions. It's a hard and enjoyable game!

Bubba Time

In Bubba Time ideas from two games are merged and the result is impressive. As its creators confess, they put together ideas from Solomon's Key and Braid. This doesn't mean that this puzzle platformer feels in any way like a rip-off. There are 4 level packs, each relying on a different strategy: Slow Motion, Simon Says, Slow Me and Return. The puzzles are fun and challenging, but unfortunately the walkthrough isn't working at the moment.

R.I.F.T

R.I.F.T is a cute puzzle platformer. You control a robot that is eager to please his hungry creators. In each level you go through a lot of trouble to get a tasty looking cake and feed it to the scientist. The robot can move, jump and grab things with his arms. Besides the usual platforms, electric fences and bolt shooting devices you will also encounter portals. That's right - portals, just like in Valve's game. Through the blue ones you can enter and you'll come jumping right out of the yellow one. It is great as a platformer and the puzzle elements are fitted just right. The only downside to it is that  there is only one free level pack, the others you have to buy from Mochi.

Nudge

Nudge is a cute monster whose daily job is to push balloons into hotspots. This game reminds me of the classical Sokoban, but the concept is rather different. There is usually one balloon per level, the difficult task being getting in on the hotspot. There are many obstacles, pushable blocks and blocks that move in directions opposite to yours. From time to time poor Nudge will even encounter baddies who want to beat him and pop the balloons... It is a very good puzzle game, with a relaxing atmosphere.

Whir

Whir is a very nice puzzle game. You control a cute robot and your goal is to clear a board of all the removable blocks and then reach the finish block. The first levels are easy and can be solved really fast, but once you get a level with a switch that doubles your pace the game becomes much more complicated. It has a very good part, however: if you can't solve a level you can generate a new one. The newly generated level will keep some of the appearance of the old one, but it can prove to be much easier (or harder).

Shrink it

Shrink it is a nice and relaxing physics game. It resembles many games whose purpose is to move a shape to a certain area by interacting with the environment. In this game, unlike in the others, you can't simply remove the shapes that make up the level, but you can shrink them. When you shrink a shape you gain mass, which can be then used to enlarge another one. This is very interesting because it offers multiple ways of solving a level.

Continuity

Continuity is a very ingenious platformer. The basic purpose of each level is to get to the exit. This, however, is really demanding when your level is divided into many movable sections. Every section can be moved with arrow keys and the hero can move from one square to another if the 2 are completing each other. There are levels that can be completed in a matter of seconds, others you'll finish by sheer chance and some really involve deep thinking. The concept is really nice, the graphics pleasant and the game overall is worth playing.

The Company of Myself

This is a sad and beautiful platformer. The game tells the story of a lonely man who did everything by himself. You have the ability to create shadows of yourself, creatures which basically mimic your movement. This comes in handy in most of the levels. The graphics are nice and simple and the music suits the story. The Company of Myself combines action with puzzle and storytelling.

DoggNation

The Doggs (which are actually real dogs) have a castle that needs to be upgraded. They have all the bricks they need but hounds aren't great at architecture. You have to make sure they get to the castle with the right number of correctly combined bricks. There will be a line of doggs that hold coloured bricks and others that will come to carry bricks to the castle. The carriers can take a brick from every holder. If you want to skip a brick you simply turn the holder around. Other gameplay elements are revealed later: switchers, stops, height barriers and even bones and refreshments. The game is quite logical and some levels really require a lot of thinking.

The Magic Pipes!

This is a new approach to a classical game - Pipes. You must connect all the glowing orbs so that none of the energy is lost. To do that you connect pipes, but this time they actually interact with each other. The pipes have different shapes and sizes and some levels are true mind benders. The graphics are very pleasant, and the music is relaxing too.

Blocks With Letters On

This is probably the best letter-game out there. In each level you are given a number of blocks which have letters on them. Every block can be moved horizontally, but some move vertically too. Your purpose is to compose a word out of those letters and then fit it into the yellow spaces. As you progress throughout the game it becomes more complicated: switches, property changers, sticky surfaces... The game also has a "funny" part: at the end of a level there is a short cutscene in which the word is pronounced and sometimes a short clip is presented. While most good games are too short, this one has plenty levels, 64 to be precise.

Full Moon

What can a bunny-rabbit do in the middle of a full-moon night? Well, he's searching for food and it's your task to help him. The game is made up of cute puzzles, some easier than others. You can only interact with certain objects with your mouse. Sometimes the entire puzzle consists of figuring out what the objects are, because being night time everything is dark. Overall this is a really fun game.

Revert to Growth

Revert to Growth is a really nice game. It was first created in 22 hours for a competition in which it got first prize. The more polished version is very good. You play as a robot which crashed on a weird planet. You have to get back missing parts of your ship. To do that you'll need the help of plants. Depending on the type of soil you can grow taller or smaller plants that will act as platforms. The puzzles are challenging and if you get stuck (you surely will) there is a very good walkthrough available.

Pumpkin Remover

Form the creator of Red Remover comes this Halloween version. The game has exactly the same purpose as the previous one: remove bad shapes by clicking on them, but make sure all the good shapes stay on the screen. The only difference is this this time you won't be removing coloured circles, but pumpkins. The music is creepy, as it should be in a Halloween game and the levels are quite enjoyable. After all, this means simply more good levels for a really good game.

Flood Fill

Here's a game hard enough to keep you entertained and at the same time easy enough not become frustrating. The concept is quite simple: you have 4 colours and you have to fill shapes however you like, as long as pieces of the same colour don't touch. You can change colour with [ASDF] and you automatically advance to the next level when the picture is correctly coloured.

Go Home

It's been a long while since I've seen a pure puzzle game but, finally, Go Home appeared. The purpose of the game is to guide little humans from one house to another on existing paths, using a given number of steps. Sometimes there is only one way of solving the puzzle, because a path can only be taken by one human. Some levels are easy, others are horribly hard... However, the game has a concept so simple and graphics so nice that you'll definitely like it.

Momentum Master

I bet you always wanted to be a spider: to travel using only your web, to wander into creepy castles and resist moody weather... Momentum Master gives you this opportunity. You can only control the spider's web, when to throw it and when not to. Momentum does the rest. There are puzzle and challenge levels,  where all the bolts are fixed in a certain order, but there is also a Skill Mode where the bolts are randomized and the game can go on forever. It's an unusual and addicting game, worth playing.

Caps

Caps is an old game with a new touch. Remember the classic Peg Solitaire? Well, Caps is the same game, just instead of pegs you remove caps. What is so nice about it is the atmosphere. The music is relaxing, the caps are colorful and the background is made up of old newspaper pages. There is a puzzle shaped like a butterfly, one as a crab, a yin-yang and many other nice shapes.

Take Something Literally

Take Something Literally is an abstract game which forces the player to think outside the box. Those of you who are familiar with Achievement Unlocked and This Is The Only Level will find this game fun and quite logical. For the others, you just have to "take everything literally". The puzzles are very nice, some of them are not present in any other games. This game is sure to keep your mind busy for quite some time.
